A NEW PLATFORM TO CONNECT ALL SPECIALISTS ENGAGED IN THE EVENT INDUSTRY IS ABOUT TO APPEAR. A NEW SOCIAL NETWORK CALLED ONSTAGE.PRO WILL BE LAUNCHED IN FEBRUARY 2016.
This is not Facebook or Linked In, though there are common features plus some extra advantages like a ratings system which can help find the right specialist in a short period of time
OnStage.pro is a global platform that unites technical specialists and companies from the event and show industries around the world. So for example an event agency working in France gets an order to organize an event in Hong Kong - with the help of the platform it will be possible to find qualified specialists quite quickly even if the company has no connections in the East.
Another advantage of the new network is the possibility for members to upload their portfolios with cross references and hashtags. Members of the network who have worked together will have a chance to evaluate each other’s quality which creates the rating system. This will also help companies who are looking for perfect partners.
Talks is a section where participants can ask a question or get feedback on their services or products. It is like a forum but more modern with different tools for searching. Events is another section devoted to different educational events, trainings and seminars.
“I came up with the idea of OnStage.pro several years ago while I was studying at London Business School, and just two months later I had the prototype. Of course it was possible only because of all the help and connections that I made during my education”, says Kirillova. Seven months later the pilot version of the network was ready, which Kirillova and her two partners from Russia spent 200 000 pounds to create. They plan to make money on the project by selling advanced accounts which come with additional user functions and by advertising.
The new platform OnStage.pro is going to be presented in April 2016 at the exhibition Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt. “Everyone who could be interested in this project will be there”, says Kirillova. This is part of their marketing plan, which includes participation in professional exhibitions and conferences, plus a lot of work with social media.
In 2016 Kirillova is also planning to get a place for her project in the startup accelerator, a joint project with the London Business School and Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship .
