Trends for a better future

When one is asked about trends in the live com industry, the most common answers are digitalization, globalization, optimization and all the other “zations” possible. But based on all the recent meetings and talks with industry experts from all over the world, I would definitely choose one key trend, and this one makes me really happy. I’m speaking about partnership. Have you noticed how many new formats of partnership and collaboration, how many new alliances, unions, and joint projects are being established currently.

People are realizing more and more the power of sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and helping each other. This is definitely a good trend, which can bring our industry, and the whole world, to a better future.

More and more people are ready to determine their weaknesses and strengths and willing to find a matching partner in order to create a strong, mutually beneficial partnership. People are realizing more and more the power of sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and helping each other. This is definitely a good trend, which can bring our industry, and the whole world, to a better future. Another interesting trend I’ve noticed is the search for the right name and the right definition of an event, which is not an easy task to do in such a rapidly changing industry. There are maybe 200 definitions of an ‘event’ (one very good one was developed during the recent EuBea Advisory Board by the way). But somehow I often think that maybe there are things which are very hard to define or name, because you just need to feel them and experience them. To feel them so clearly and strongly with all of your senses that you don’t even need to name them. They say that events are all about emotions. So maybe someday there will come a new trend — a trend to feel things rather than to put them into strict limits.
